Note to self/reminders for next dance competition:

If getting into the tech rehearsal beforehand is possible - factor in how they use the stage to pick a good angle. Find a good angle ASAP - stick to it. Find/buy/bring a tripod - holding the camcorder against one of the poles for the lighting doesn’t work as well. Reminder: The Hold-Your-Arm-Straight-in-the-Air-For-Extended-Amounts-of-Time Technique still really sets you up for even more...
