This is an Origami Jellyfish I designed with the diagrams I drew.
12x12” mulberry paper backed with some random grey butcher paper. haha
Diagrams and other work and thoughts can also be found here:http://linhaiwen.wordpress.com/2012/09/11/origami-jellyfish-step-by-step-diagrams
Try folding one! Share a picture! I’d make me happy. Sorry if the diagrams are too confusing though.
Thanks for looking.
P.S. WHAT SHOULD I FOLD NEXTTT!!!!!!! TELL MEEEE
Good god, this is fantastic. I really gotta give this a shot when I can.

Physics exam went alright, I guess, and I answered more questions than I expected. Only stuff left to worry about for the next few weeks are the drafts for my humanities class, registration, then somewhere after that, finals. Eeek.
I’m bored in my physics lab, so here’s a picture of a “levitating” origami rose made from a newspaper.

i don’t know if it’s typical to curve the petals like that(it’s probably not), but every now and then, after learning something new in origami, i tend to get a bit crazed and make a lot of the same model(when i say a lot, i mean it). the kawasaki rose was my most recent “craze”, starting in junior year. next to the sack of these that didn’t turn out so well, there’s a bag pretty much full of kawasaki roses and a few hearts that i had no idea what to do with. it was probably around january that i ended up deciding to get some wire, spraypaint, and other stuff i could find and turn those into full hand-made roses, selling them just in time for valentine’s day. at fifty cents each, i only made a few dollars. the ones i’ve got in the picture are the best one’s i’ve got. i’ve got more, but i’m not entirely sure what to do with them. maybe i’ll give some away?

Robert J. Lang’s origami. Many pieces were constructed using a single uncut square. Incredible. Click into the “science” section for pieces on mathematic, computational and technological relations to origami. (Fun fact: for optimal deployment, motor vehicle airbags are designed and folded using origamic principles and dynamics.)

now this is why i find origami fascinating.

thanks. i guess the guy to blame is the one who designed it lol. but you can’t really make paper seem poofy, right?
folding this included having to deal with some of the most frustratingly vague diagrams ever. darn elephant.
WAS I SUPPOSED TO REVERSE FOLD THAT WHOLE INNER BUTT PART? HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO IT? TELL ME MR. MONTROLL.
