“Honeybee” by Steam Powered Giraffe
So I passed by this gifset on my dashboard, which leads to this video, and now I’m becoming slowly and increasingly impressed and fascinated by these guys. Click for a confused moment to wonder what the hell they’re wearing, stay for the music and pantomiming. Oh and they’ve got a tumblr too.
I’ll be right back, but for now I’m off to listen to this a hundred more times.

Eep. Feeling guilty about a few things:
So yeah, apologies for those. D: Regardless of this, I just wanted to record with what I have so people have a way of looking back, video quality be damned.
Either way, the night was fun, everyones’ performances were awesome, and congrats to the Mooks on 3rd, UFP for 2nd, and Project D for first!

At the moment, I’ve got about half the videos uploaded. Woke up half an hour ago, decided to upload the rest while I’m at it haha. Apologies for any flaws. Congrats to UFPx on third, Part-Time Models for second, and the Mooks for first!

Google Tease of the Day: Google sees our future through augmented reality glasses. Prototypes reportedly will be tested in the coming months.
[pcworld]
Without getting too detailed about my fanboying, I’m excited that they’ve started working on augmented reality glasses, but prototype considered, I don’t think the final model would last long. It could flop because of the cost, the design (no really, look at the prototype model), or the whatever the fuck else fascinating ideas die out for.
But if it should persist and break past any of those obstacles, inevitably, someone else is gonna try their own take on it. Idiots like me who’ve heard about this somewhat beforehand already have a few ideas drifting around, so it’s not too long until someone who isn’t an idiot acts on theirs.
The iPhone wasn’t the only one of its kind, later on having competition with (mainly) Android phones. It heralded this era of smartphones, another exponential jump in technological advancement. So, if anything, Google Glasses might be the start of something else, something amazing, and that something else is what’s getting me so damn excited.

The Most Astounding Fact by Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Astrophysicist Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson was asked by a reader of TIME magazine, “What is the most astounding fact you can share with us about the Universe?” This is his answer.
It seems that physicists, or anyone scientifically minded at that, tend to be amazed by precisely these very same things, just putting it into their own words. Not always, but eventually, maybe. Carl Sagan himself noted, similar to Tyson saying that the universe is within us just as much as we are inhabitants within it, that we are made of “star stuff,” and that we are a way for the universe to observe and contemplate itself. Leaving aside my lack of a proper transition to this sentence, Richard Feynman had noted, when it comes down to it, that we are each a small collection of continuous actions and reactions of atoms obeying very simple rules. Of course, that so many happen upon such realizations doesn’t make it any less true, or any less fascinating to consider.

Words Of Wisdom of the Day: Inspired by the acclaimed “Sagan Series,” Evan Schurr pieced together powerful statements made by world-renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson that serve as an alarming wake up call to a nation that has stopped dreaming and underfunded tomorrow.

This is fantastic. I’d really like to look into Neil deGrasse Tyson’s writings.
And working for NASA may or may not be a dream of mine in the future.
